Painter, draughtsman, printmaker and sculptor, Lowell Nesbitt is best known for his vast array of botanical art works. He has created over 400 works based on the flower theme. To honor his unparalleled contributions to the art world, in 1980 the United States Postal Service issued four stamps based on his floral paintings.
