One of Europe’s leading conceptual artists, Carlo Maria Mariani uses the medium of paint to combine the language of both classical and contemporary imagery in order to communicate a larger vision of art, the artist, and humanity. He has been awarded Italy’s highest cultural honor, the Antonio Feltrinelli Prize for Lifetime Achievement in Painting and has also represented his native Italy three times in the Venice Biennale.
